A sepia photograph of Old Main (1872-1848), circa 1872, possibly before the streets had been graded and shortly after the building was built. A horse-drawn carriage sits in front with new trees planted on what is otherwise flat land. On the back, a taped description reads "Shown above is the first building constructed on the Augsburg campus in 1872, containing a men's dormintory, dining hall and classrooms. A contral and east wing were added two years later."
