The forty-second page of a scrapbook created by Anita Gay Hawthorne in 1990 shows photographs in the top left and right corners of Tina McGregor walking down the runway with a captions that reads, "She wears an outfit from Namibia and a dress from E. Africa." In the bottom left and right corners, Carol Nabwire walks down the runway. The caption reads, "From Uganda, Carol wears a Massai outfit and carries a bag and water jug". These four photographs of Black people walking down the runway are from the "Wrapped in African Beauty" event.
