The forty-fourth page of a scrapbook created by Anita Gay Hawthorne in 1990 shows a photograph in the top left corner which shows three Black people walking down the runway. In the top right corner, A Black person walks down the runway. These photographs have a caption which reads, "Uahengo's-From Namibia, these couple shows how a baby is carried on the back with the traditional clothing. In the bottom left and right corners, Carla Walker walks down the runway with a caption that reads, "On both occasions she wears a dress from E. Africa". These four photographs of Black people walking down the runway are from the "Wrapped in African Beauty" event.
