Opening Day at Smiley's Point, 1947
A photograph of the interior of Smiley's Point, a triangle-shaped at the east corner of the intersection of Riverside Avenue, 22nd Avenue South, and 6th Street. The small space is filled with people: men in suits sit at a small counter while younger people, including a young man wearing an Augsburg t-shirt, are waiting for service. The man behind the counter, possibly Kelly Roth, is handing an ice cream cone to a customer. The window in the background reads in reverse "Under New Management."
