"One Day in May" Banner during the George Floyd Protest March to the Minnesota State Capitol, 2020
A commemorative banner honoring "One Day in May" during the George Floyd Protests March toward the Minnesota State Capitol, 2020. The protesters are sitting next to the tracks of the Green Line on University Avenue in St. Paul to disrupt car traffic. On May 15, 1968, Augsburg canceled class to invite speakers from the Black community to discuss racism during "One Day in May." The banner was part of an Augsburg community contingent in the protest march. The banner reads "Justice Long Delayed is Justice Denied," and it was part of 68/20, a community-based art and activism project led by Leon Wang.
